I was skeptical about this product, but wanted to see if it actually works. It does! It works perfectly, will definitely buy again. This product is lifesaver for quick eye makeup look; use caution if using a dark color (black or dark blue / purple) as not all the product was removed. I’m my opinion this doesn’t reflect negative on the product but should be more common sense …At any rate this allowed me to do a very quick Halloween “mermaid” look using A LOT of eye shadow blending and back and forth.Would purchase again! Also SUPER helpful for travel when you don’t want to take time to wash makeup brushes in between multiple days of “glam” makeup (took on a 5 day bachelorette trip to Nashville in June. Two other bridesmaids saw me use this and immediately ordered one delivered to the air bnb we were staying at!)I needed this to do my nails with when using multiple brushesdefinitely needed this, I always struggle to keep my brushes clean and this has made my life ten times easier.I bought this after watching some youtube reviews and decided I would try it out. I don't have very many brushes and it is a pain to wash them and then wait for them to dry before I could use them again. I thought trying this would help me switch colors without having to dirty another brush. I was a little skeptical that this thing would actually work, but I tried it as soon as I got it and I was pretty impressed that it took the shadow right off a brush with fresh product on it. The only thing I found with this that is not great is that if you use a sparkly pigment or shadow, it doesn't get all the sparkly particles off the brush and some of that can transfer to your next shadow. But otherwise, the Colour Switch is impressive and I was surprised at how well it worked with regular shadows. The tin is also nice since it catches any shadow that trickles through the sponge, it also seems like it will be great to travel with since it won't get make up everywhere if you toss it in a makeup bag. They do sell refills for the tin, but I think I will just wash the one it came with and see how that works out. Overall, I am pretty impressed with this brush cleaner and would recommend it to people looking for an easy way to clean your eye brushes between colors.I can't rave enough about this product. I've had it for a couple months now, and I've used it with mostly eyeshadow, but all sorts of colors. It's removed them all pretty much instantly! I will say that the only problem with this is that it will probably make people forget that even though it's taking off the pigment, it's not removing bacteria and such, so you should probably still wash your brushes once or twice a month. And yes. I know that it's just a stippling brush in a little can. So if you want to DIY it, I'm sure you could. I find this a lot more convenient than trying to spend an afternoon coming up with a copy of this. Part of its use is the can: the stippling part doesn't move around (well, it rotates a little) because it's contained in the can. So I just have it sitting in a corner of my makeup box, and I can just brush my brushes towards the inside corner, and it doesn't move. Alternatively, you could put some hot glue or silicone on the top face of the lid, so when you put the lid on the bottom (like the picture) and had it on your countertop, it wouldn't slide, either.Anyways, love this product! Also works with bigger brushes. I'm wishing I'd bought the duo, though, because it's supposed to work with creme make up.I cannot tell you how much I love this thing! My sister in law came over for Christmas and showed this to me. I said to her, with an eyebrow raised in disgust "it's just a can with a sponge.... what's so great about it?" She went on to plead her case on how it was different and it just pulls the makeup off the brushes. I was still skeptical, but decided to order one and see for myself. I just started doing product reviews on Amazon and thought it would be a good thing to review. When it arrived a few days later, I tried it out with my eyeshadow. She wasn't kidding! This thing is AMAZING!!! It cleans the eyeshadow off of it and makes your brush ready for the next color. I don't know how I have done my makeup until now. I compared it to a wash cloth (what I usually use to change the makeup color), and hands down the Color Switch works 50 times better. It's such a great product that I have been telling EVERYONE about it. My Mom, my Sister, and my best friend have all purchased one thanks to me.I'm not sure what the "softness" of the item means really? lol the "sponge" on the inside is pretty course and it's used to dry clean your makeup brushes. I use this a LOT when I'm switching colors and don't want to muddle up my next color. And to clean you just soap and water the sponge and let it dry, and giving the tin a wipe with a rag.Easily cleans my brushes between applications. I’ve gone from black to white shadows and it’s cleaned the brush head off easily. This works great. You could probably diy but I’m happy with my purchase.I've only used this product a few times and so far it works as it says it will..Works great love it
