I love survival horror as a video game genre. It forces you to think creatively and overcome incredible circumstances based on a very limited arsenal of objects. That being said, "Remothered: Broken Porcelain" is a mess. The controls are all over the place (seriously- the object of defeating another character early on may break your gameplay), and the experience more annoying than immersive. The sets look fine, but the MC never gets to look around the Inn and see where things are supposed to be when they turn all Survival Horror. Instead, the game makes you start with a hallway and kind of works from there which is considerate. However, what expunges this is the fact that for most every other plot development (i.e. goal), you will probably have to Google how it's done.As for the plot, it's ridiculous even for a video game. A drug that lets PTSD patients forget their trauma but causes problems when it comes to filling in the aforementioned disorder can be quite a rewarding one. Here, though, the plot is best left to Wikipedia as it's hard to understand what's happening, why it's happening and who it's happening to. It's very hard to care for characters as opposed to being annoyed at them. In one sequence, I had to use psychic powers to guide a character. Instead of being in any amount of suspense, I became quickly annoyed at the controls. You have to first make a jukebox activate, then identify the key, tell the character where to hide (just FYI, if you fail any of these, a nun in a red habit lights you with a flamethrower which isn't nearly as much fun as it sounds), distract the Red Nun and join the character out front, as if the Red Nun forgot that door bells work.If you want good or great survival horror, you know where to go. "Alien: Isolation" and "Resident Evil: Biohazard" have made such material dangerous and scary. This game is just annoying with its dumb plot and dumber characters. As long as you understand that traumatic events can't simply be erased without harm, you can make it out of this game okay. If you do believe that it's healthy to "erase" traumatic memories, this game should be your Bible. For the rest of us, the Bible is supposed to be a generalized scripture based around the dos and do-nots of humans. If you follow it, you may find happiness and perhaps even work to help humankind into the future. Or you can just be a creator of "Remothered" and throw the same old back in our faces along with confusing controls and strangely nonsensical character actions and dialogue. You can definitely do better with the genre of survival horror. Don't waste your time with this and instead work on making it in the higher difficulties of "Alien: Isolation" and "Resident Evil: Biohazard." Even "The Evil Within" offers a good plot. This, however, is just recycled bits from previous games made insufficient by current gameplay mechanics.Arrived quickly but the game premise is terrible, stumbling around a dark asylum trying to find items while character motion patterns are lethargic and irregular. Hard pass this game title. The game is not perfect, but for the price it is very good. I played it on PS4 and had a good experience, I didn't notice so many glitches.I finished it and I quite liked it.Really good survival horror for fans of the genre. Mostly Stealth based story game and weapons you find are purely defensive for avoiding the enemies. If you liked Silent Hill or other horror games you will likely appreciate the atmosphere of remothered. The game can be frustrating at times and some of the puzzles can be very difficult but overall I feel like it’s a wonderful survivor horror franchise especially for the price. This is a great game for the price it been a while since I've played a good scary game. I am satisfied with my purchase!Absolutely one of the best horror games that I’ve played in a very long time. It sort of reminds me of “Clock Tower 3”. Running and hiding from a raving lunatic. It’ll give you nightmares. Highly recommended. Gorgeous game. ???have pick items mehSaw a review of this game & noticed how scary it is. I enjoy playing scary games so Ibought it. The game arrived safely and well packaged. I did enjoy the first Remothered title, so I preordered Broken Porcelain. That turned out to be a mistake.I don't tolerate glitches or game crashes; so I have quit playing this game until it can be patched by the developer.Previously, I saved for the night and tried to pick up my game the next day. There was a game breaking glitch that occured. An NPC appeared in a doorway and blocked my way through that door. In order to progress further, I had to go through that door. The NPC was stuck standing in the doorway. Luckily, I found an earlier save file; but that kind of glitch should really not be happening. I had a replay a high stress part of the game because of this. Also, the game crashed on me for no apparant reason. What is going on here?!Muchos bugs. Salió hace dos semanas y ya estan en el parche 1.08Oh God worst game I have ever played. Controls are all glitchy, boring crappy useless game. Hate it so much. Really wish I went online and checked reviews before buying this. So terribleExcelente juego me gustó mucho la historia lo recomiendo mucho.
