Mom couldn’t manage table lamps anymore, a few seconds of work and now she can. Honestly the lamp design is stupid the knobs should come like this anyway! My mom is going on 97 years old and loosing her sight. This knob on her her lamp on the nightstand makes it so much easier for her to turn on and off. These large lamp switches are well made and easy to install. They are very helpful especially for the elderly making lamp switch operation simple for those with visual and physical issues.I purchased several of these Big Lamp Switches years ago for an elderly relative and they worked great, so I purchased them again, recently, for another aging relative. The Maddak Big Lamp Switches are the same high quality that they have always been. One caution, though, is that the internal (female) screw threading on the Maddak Big Lamp Switches matches all modern lampholder fixtures on today's lamps, but the threading on really old lamps may not match up. The lamps of my present elderly relative were manufactured around 1950 (and maybe in a foreign country) and the screw threading did not match. Thus, I had to rewire my elderly relative's lamp in order to use the Maddak Big Lamp Switch. So, when purchasing, consider that the person who needs Big Lamp Switch may have lamps as old as they are, necessitating a lamp rewiring job.Much larger than anticipated. Probably my own fault for not reading the dimensions carefully. I had a bedside lamp very difficult to turn on. This is indeed easy to turn, but perhaps more appropriate for someone with very disabled hands. Mine are just a bit arthritic. These switch replacements are amazing. The pack of 3 fit all 3 lamps I have. I rarely write reviews but felt I need to to encourage others with arthritis to purchase these. I have hand arthritis and just turning on a lamp has for some time has become painful; I usually have to get a rubber jar opener or something to grip the knob. These are a little big but if you have a shaded lamp, you won't even see it. A wonderful product, turning on lamps is now easier than before I had arthritis. One less painful issue to deal with. I am ordering more for my daughter. It was very easy to install and works great. It's much easier to turn the lamp on and offSo, much easier to use. It gives you greater pressure for turning and being much larger than normal switches, It's easier for arthritic hands.
