The other day i was washing a load of laundry and right before it was ready to drain the water i noticed my machine seem to quit working. So i messed around with it awhile and come to find out everything worked expect it would not drain nor would the spin cycle work. So i had the fun job of scooping all the water out by hand. I then did some research and found out that the lid switch was one of the common things to cause this issue i was having. So i borrowed a multimeter tester from my dad and then i pulled my washer apart and found the switch and unhooked it to test it and from what i could tell was it was shot. When i decided that was the issue i came to my favorite place to look for a replacement and it was here on amazon. I was surprised i could find it for about 8-10 dollar including any shipping charges. However i decided to buy one from a seller that offered 2 day prime shipping and paid about 30 dollars for 1 day shipping instead. I know i overpaid and it was worth the extra 20 dollars to get it in a day. I just did not want to wait a week or so to fix the issue. I also looked around to make sure this would work with my exact washer and found that sears was selling the same one for 45 dollars on their website so in the end i still saved some money. If you need to replace the switch save money and do it yourself. It is so easy to find videos online to teach you and after you do it once it will be that much easier the next time. I would say it would take about 20-30 minutes to replace it yourself. It took me less that 10 because i already had the washing machine apart and i pretty much knew what to do before hand so i wasn't fighting with it today when i switched it for the new one. Overall i am happy and i was happy to get a load of clothes washed. I am really happy and was happy to find it here on amazon.
