Replacing A old pump that was very noisyEVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTI have had several of these pumps and they all arrived with the float attached to the switch. This most recent pump arrived with the float loose in the box and no pin to attach it to the switch. Crafted a pin from one of the box staples..Works perfectly. Removes water from an irrigation ditch, pushes the water through a 3/4" hose and waters mature pistachio trees. Saves a lot of time over using the previous 1/2 hp pump.Drop in replacement for a Zoeller sump pump that failed and flooded our basement. Love the rugged design and pleased with the performance.Our 15 year old sump pump died on us and we were able to find the exact model on Amazon. It is working great; we hope to get 15 years out of this pump.Made in china,I decided that after 19 years it was time to replace the old pump. I bought a different brand from a national tire store but it lasted a month. It was a metal and plastic housing and so loud you could hear it run in every corner of our house. So I decided that I'll spend more for a better product. Some reviews say theirs lasted 15+ years so that's why I went with Barnes. So far I'm really happy with it's performance but most of all I cant believe how quiet it is. I know everyone says cast iron pump are the best for silence but I can't get over it.So far no regrets but I'll update should anything come up.Product is a great product, BARNES are trustworthy. Must have been a return that was not checked by Amazon, it a pump did not have time to return had to improvise. Barnes warranty USA was very helpful.
